TWINS is a sketch-comedy double-act written and performed by Jack Barry and Annie McGrath, two of the most laidback people you might never meet.
In Annie McGrath – every bit the cherubic churl – Twins has a unique and curiously endearing half. Never shy of dodging a predictable punch line, she is a fearless navigator of the offbeat. Beside her, Jack Barry takes gormlessness into new territory. Fuelled by flights of fancy, constant deviation, and spontaneous drollery, Barry is very much the natural humorist. Together, they form one of the most unique, charming and exciting new double-acts around.
Annie and Jack met at Leeds where they were both cast in the University’s sketch comedy group, the Leeds Tealights. After graduating, they formed Twins and have since performed at Latitude Festival, Machynlleth Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. Twins’ debut show was produced by The Invisible Dot. In 2015 the duo returned to the Fringe with Twins: Pret A Comedy, in association with Hat Trick Productions, then in 2016 Twins: Two Balls in a Bag, produced by Berk’s Nest.
Annie and Jack have written and performed sketches for ITV2’s ‘@elevenish’. Aside from Twins, they are both stand-up comedians, represented by Avalon Management.
